Peaceful music for turbulent times.

Suijin is a bit of a departure from my prior releases. Generative soundscapes and melodic improvisations are still primary components of these compositions, but now they’re accompanied by improvised, organic drum rhythms drawn from traditional jazz idioms. The result, I hope, is something unique that exists in the space between ambient, jazz, and electronica.

Working on the project over the past 9 months has been a much needed distraction from the daily onslaught of bad news this year has served up. I’m hoping it provides a similar respite for you.
